Lonnie Fisher has been hiding in the Land of Oz for years, slinging a unique 5-string guitar with no G string. His voice is a blend of Roy Orbison, David Bowie, Peter Murphy, and Buddy Holly. Pair that with diminished chords, and you have something that no one else has ever done. And yes, it's different than how Keith Richards plays on 5-strings.
Lonnie has a remarkable life story: singing opera and playing baseball in college, losing girlfriends in tragic circumstances, and surviving two strokes to finally find sobriety, his songs capture the essence of a life full of surprises. Lonnie’s live performances will mesmerize you with his catchy melodies and heartfelt emotions. He is a skilled live performer with over 1,000 live shows spanning across his career.
No longer restrained to Kansas because of the wonders of the intertubes, his music can easily be imagined as part of onscreen stories of loss and hope in dark times. Lonnie came to Lawrence, KS (LFK) in the 90's. His previous projects include Sturgeon Mill & Lonnie Fisher and the Funeral. He currently calls the Kansas City area home.
