What is missing?
Look closer.
Yep, it's just how I learned to play guitar. That means a lot of my songs contain diminished chords. Not something you hear all the time.
Before I learned guitar, I was hiding from my choir teacher. I was the kid who was mouthing the words while everyone else was singing. When he discovered my game, I had to stay after school to rehearse with him. It was that day, my voice was found. I was 16. I ended up going to college on an opera scholarship.
My voice found it's way to rock bands and that was when I never looked back. The path forward was music, more music, and then some more music. Rock and opera are the 2 genres I started with. My music also has influences from Goth, Punk, Alt Punk, Gospel, and Americana/Roots genres, but is very much anchored in my Kansas roots.
The stories I tell are of coming back from the dead after years of tragedy and loss. I am a two-time stroke survivor and am grateful for every day I still get to sing and play for you, with a pocket full of G strings.
